Golden Wedding on the Royal Wedding Day

My great aunt and uncle celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Friday , my mum asked me to do a card for them and thought this image would be perfect as it actually looks a wee bit like them!

Less is More Week 11 Acetate, oh! and me!

 

I have decided to enter a challenge! Not another one!

that must be about 3 this year!!, yes I am a bit slow at the challenges but I am definately going to make an effort this year, however, I'm not really impressed with my effort but I will give it a whirl anyway.
I am entering into the Less is More Acetate challenge as I really like LIM cards.

I punched out 3 flowers with acetate and ran over them with my embossing tool towards teh tip of the flower to give shape and the whiteness, I would have preferred a larger flower but I dont have a big enough punch and would have also liked a white sentiment , but didn't have anything to do that with either, so I have used a swirly peel off and a lush brad for the centre of the flower, a wee bit white ribbon and that was me , think its a wee bit too plain but it was a first attempt with acetate for something other than for 3d glass effect!

Also finally got a picture of me on my blog , at long last , and I dont resemble a plum at all!! I don't think I do anyway! My son took the picture for me , he's a clever wee boy!

Male Retirement Card

 

My friend needed a special retirement card and wanted it themed due to his job,(no prizes for guessing what it is!) think this fitted the bill! excuse the pun!

I downloaded the hat from the internet, cut it out and glossed it. 

Used my nesties and my MS punch and the paper is their own paper from my local supplier, sentiments on the pc and a few bits of card candy.

Mothers Days & Spring Go Together

Had 5 mother's day cards to make this year!2 for my friend , 1 for my other friend and 1 each for my one and MIL, hubby was chancing it and asked me to make another one , I asked who for and he said for myself, sent him packing on that one!!! the one above was for my Mil and the next one was one of my friends ones, used the same layout but used different papers and colours , I forgot to photograph my mums one but it was done with light green paper.

Pretty in Pink

Loving this kraft paper I got from craftwork cards recently and I followed the same design I earlier for a ruby wedding but this time for a couples wedding day.

Not had much time lately to do any cards but hopefully get some time this weekend as my wee pixie is away to brownie camp and I have done enough painting for just now, feel a crafty weekend coming on! :-)

No Stamp Required

 

As most of my followers will know I don't do an awful lot of stamping or images on my cards , mostly die cuts etc. This card was for a 60th (yes I know I am stating the obvious) for a lady who likes softer colours and not too much bling, thankfully she loved this.

I liked it so much I made another on for my friends mum for her

they were so please with it I have made a couple of Mother's Day cards the same and my mums birthday card , will post those later.

40th Card for a Man

 

Oh how we hate doing mens cards, I think it is because we cant pretty them up with flowers, ribbon and glitter cos all us crafter's are quite girly when it comes down to it!

Anyway , my old work colleague asked me to do a 40th for her hubby and he is a big Ranger's fan so rather than do a football theme just thought I would use the bright blue as the colour is lovely.

Couldn't post before his birthday which is today, just in case she was on my site and he saw it!

Wedding Card

 

Had to do a large wedding card for my friend and have to give credit to one of my docraft buddies  Claire for the idea of the flowers round the nestie as this is one of her ideas. I embossed the backing card on my score board and done the sentiment on the computer , just after I punched the last flower I broke my punch! the metal bit that the flower comes out broke clean off, think I may be over using it !

40th card and using up the leftovers

 

Hi all hope you are having a good weekend , I have been painting all day in my youngest sons room, lime green and blue!!! Will post pics when done.

Onto my card , this one was made a  few weeks ago for my sister in laws birthday.  I have also been trying to use up the let over bits of paper when you have made a card so here is what I made with the strips I had left, these are little diddy cards (100x100) from craftwork cards and the sentiments are also from craftwork cards.

Matching Pairs But Different!

 

My friend that had asked for the Ruby Wedding Set also asked if I could make cards for her two sisters with matching gift tags , as they were for the same couple had to make sure they were completely different.  These are the two sets the ingredients for them are as follows

Bouncing Baby Boy and an Award

 

I am currently in the process of moving into my new craft area which is the old playroom which my hubby and I are going to share for our hobbies , his photography and computer addiction!!!! and my cardmaking , once it is all finished a promise to post some pics, onto my card ..............I couldn't post this earlier as my friend hadn't given the gift and card yet, another wee gift set for a new baby comprising of small album and keepsake box personalised for the wee man.
