Matching Pairs But Different!

 

My friend that had asked for the Ruby Wedding Set also asked if I could make cards for her two sisters with matching gift tags , as they were for the same couple had to make sure they were completely different.  These are the two sets the ingredients for them are as follows

:

Sentiments - on pc and LOTV

Paper - Craftwork cards

Roses - Hobbycraft

Ribbon and gems from stash

Tools - Nesties and cuttlebug embossing folder for the one below

 

Their anniversary was in Feb so I couldnt post until after the event!

Bouncing Baby Boy and an Award

 

I am currently in the process of moving into my new craft area which is the old playroom which my hubby and I are going to share for our hobbies , his photography and computer addiction!!!! and my cardmaking , once it is all finished a promise to post some pics, onto my card ..............I couldn't post this earlier as my friend hadn't given the gift and card yet, another wee gift set for a new baby comprising of small album and keepsake box personalised for the wee man.

Medium - my new prisma pencils & a bit of stickles 

Tools - nesties and martha stewart punch

Stamp - Personal Impressions

Ribbon etc from stash and the personalised plaques done on pc

New Colour Combo

 

Have  quite a few cards I haven't posted so  you may see a few cards getting posted over the next week and I am going to try and get some blog hopping in too

Onto my card , I was asked for a 21st card and wanted to make it modern so I tried black and white with a bit of bright green and was quite happy how it turned out

age and sentiment were done on the pc

the spotty paper is from Claire Curds big one

the felt ribbon from wild orchids and used my nesties and some bling for the age

2 in one weekend!!

This set was also made at christmas time and have never had chance to post , it was made as a christmas present for a couple getting married in April

My friend had a little mishap with the guest book and dropped it in the snow!, it was all splattered with muddy marks and I tried to revive the cover but had to recover the box in the end with handmade paper and put on a new personalised label and embellishments. She was over the moon her gift wasn't totally spoiled.

Late posting and apology

Hi All sorry not been blogging much lately, things are just taking over a bit at home hopefully get more time soon to visit you all more often :-)
My card was made for my friend for her wee girl and one from her sister , her birthday was between christmas and new year so it is a bit late! I cant believe i forgot to photograph the one I made for her myself !!!

 

The images are both from digistamp boutique and the red one coloured with promarkers and the bear coloured with my new prismas I got for Christmas .  Not really got the hang of them yet but I am getting there, gone through quite a few images trying too!

Ruby Wedding

 

So glad its Friday tomorrow, hoping to get some cards done over the weekend but I do want to paint my craft room downstairs. I had moved upstairs and was sharing a room with the ironing table (thinking it may encourage me to keep it up to date) ha! the lure of my craft table won every time! My boys decided they want to have their own rooms again so I need to vacate the bedroom and move downstairs , but it needs to be painted first as it used to be a wee playroom and is needing a facelift. My daughter is having some grandparent time so hopefully get started with the paint.  On to my card and album ..........Ruby Wedding card was made using the following:

computer for the sentiments and names, cut out with nesties, I embossed the backing card with my scoring board into a criss cross design which you cant really see in the photo, the flowers are from wild orchid and some are punched and I have put some wee pearls in the centres, ribbon from stash, I have made a personalised album to match below

Wedding Card and Box

 

Yes another one be they seem to be popular just now, my friend wanted this box and card for a wedding she has soon so managed to finish this at last as its been a busy week , the flowers were a mix of Wild Orchid flowers and punched flowers with little pearls in the middle, the wedding cakes I got from my local craft shop but think you can get them from Mad About Cards, used my nesties and my new daisy embossing folder that I got from hubby for christmas and all the sentiments were made on the computer.

Snoozy Dad

 

Large square card for my friends Dad , digistamp boutique image coloured with promarkers, used nesties and cuttlebug stars, think the paper is by doodlebug and the sentiment was done on the computer , my friend loved the card and said it was so like her dad!

Happy Anniversary with Coco Bear 2nd time lucky

 

Am I the only one who makes cards, doesn't like them so they go in the bin? My first attempt at the anniversary card for my friend, I didn't like! So I made this one with Coco Bear from Digistamp Boutique.  Its for her to give to her hubby but when she collected it I suddenly wondered if it was too girly ! Do you think so?  She seemed happy with it. Entered into Allsorts challenge I also had to make 40th card for her friend shown below.

 

I am right into these stand up cards just now, I used to think they were a bit complicated to make but they are really quite easy aren't they?

The last card she wanted was a xmas card for her hubby so this time I used a digi image from pink petticoat , these penguins are really cute!

 

I kept this one clean and simple , I am also into these just now as they are so quick and easy once you have coloured the images.

21st Card, Album & Keepsake Box

Was asked recently to do a keepsake box for a 21st, matching card and photo album, was also told she likes ivory and gold but as I didnt want it to look weddingy I added a bit of chocolate brown to the edges of the flowers and for the figures.  My friend was absolutely delighted with these and the recipient loved them too.

Fluffles Card Redone

Made this card from my hubby's friend to give to his wife, unfortunately I used the wrong glitter on the flowers and felt it looked a bit christmassy (first image) so I pulled off my handmade flowers and used some of my new flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts instead (second image)and was a lot happier with it.
